While many of us can sense intuitively that we may be suffering from burnout, we might want to quantify the severity - or set a baseline so we can try some burnout prevention measures to see if they help.
The Copenhagen Burnout Inventory is an evidence based assessment tool that consists of 19 questions in three domains - personal life, work life, and patient (client) interactions. You can complete it online here and get your results immediately.
There's also a copy of the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory you can download at the bottom of the page.
The Copenhagen Burnout Inventory assesses burnout in three domains: personal, workplace, and patient (client) interaction. You may notice your scores are similar across them, or you may find one of the domains is a bigger contributor to burnout.
You'll also note that the final number doesn't include a scale, or expected ranges. The Copenhagen developers state that sometimes people will want to use arbitrary cutoffs - like greater or less than 50, but in their view burnout is a continuum, and so comparing the changing numbers over time for yourself may be more useful.
